Everyone seems to be raving about the Sargeant seat here, and I was wondering how much lower is it than stock (if any)?
We are trying to lower my wife's bike, and I'm working on either buying a linkage, or rotating the trianlge plates, emailed a couple guys about short kickstands, and thought a lower seat would finish this project perfectly.

I've read the thread about the pricing at sandhill motorsports (I think that was the name?) but wanted some feedback into the seat itself, as well as longer distance comfort prior to ordering one.

Any other options would be great.

    Cheers.

The sargent is approx same height at the tank. The rear end bucket sits about an inch lower due to shaping. One thing that will help is it is slightly narrower at the front allowing the legs to get closer together.

There is a pic here somewhere of the seats in profile, but could not find it quickly.

    Sargent Seat Comfort

Just rode my 2004 VFR from LA to Santa Cruz one day, back the next -- about 375 miles each way. My Sargent seat was very comfortable. No squirming after six hours in the saddle. I once did a 120 mile trip on my stock seat -- never again. One thing, though, I tend to slide forward on it more than the stock, but I adjusted my position and once up to speed all was well.
