My son is stationed at Miramar Air Station (So. Cal.) and needs to ship his bike back home

to Pennsylvania. I believe there was somewhat of a shipping mess described here some

time ago. Any transport companies to avoid or to definitely use? The bike is not in

showroom condition, but he wants to hand it down to his sister. The bike is a couple years

    old with 2K miles. Thank-you.

Might he wish to pay 5 grand for me to personally drive it to you? :eyebrows:
I would love to help out a fellow VFRWorlder.

Of course that would have nothing to do with me wanting to ride a motorcycle from California to Pennsylvania but not being able to fund the trip.

    Your all heart....

Ha! I would like to see Southern Cal. - thanks for the idea, but I don't have vacation time for a ride like that.

5k - you must be a good pilot!

Fly me out there, pay for gas and a few meals and cheap rooms, and I'll ride it back for you.

Have you looked into the Amtrak Auto Train. I know there is one that runs from Orlando to Washington D.C.. There might be a route cross country too. I like the idea that you put the bike on and take it off yourself. I don't know any real details but you would probably have to travel with the bike.
