    Hi guys and girls.

I am new in this forum.Just bought my second VFR (have one on Danish plates) I intend to mount saddlebags onher, but my budget starts to be a bit pressed.
I have found some bags from Motorcycle Hard Saddlebags, Motorcycle Panniers, Motorcycle Trunks. Seems like the price fits me.
Does any of you guys know about them, if they fit the VFR 91 with the multi sidebracktes they sell.
Or is there an other solution, that will make them detachable?

Hope you can help me out a bit. I intendto use it pretty much instead of the car, so the bags are necessary.

I commute every day with my '97 VFR. In addition to a Givi trunk, I use an old tankbag and Ortlieb Dry Saddlebags. Here's a link to the saddlebags on the Rider Warehouse site: Ortlieb Dry Bag Saddlebags :: Aerostich/RiderWearHouse Motorcycle Jackets, Suits, Clothing, & Gear

The saddlebags are completely waterproof, are well built, very simple, and can be detached / carried with built-in handle. However you do have to unfasten a few straps to take them off. No bells & whistles like some saddlebags. These are simple / utilitarian, but great for riding in any weather. Never have to bother with slipping on rainproof covers when the weather turns nasty. They ran me about $200 (including shipping). They also make a different version that hard-mount with an aftermarket mounting system. Those would be easier to remove / attach but would cost quite a bit more.

I like the saddlebags so much, I'm thinking about replacing my aging tankbag with the Ortlieb dry tankbag. Same basic design as their saddlebags.

    Hi David.

    Thanks for the feedback.
I just bought a pretty allround tankbag, but seems like I still have one month of vacation, which (if weather holdS) will give a lot of miles. So i guess I will order a set, they seems to be fairly solid. I assume there is no way to lock them?

No way to lock them. The one big drawback to soft bags.
