I posted this in the 6th gen forum, but no luck. I have some soft sided saddle bags (Nelson Rigg) and an 04 VFR. I'm not happy with the way they mount in relation to the exhaust (stock). Anyone have any tricks they'd like to share? Do the heat shields keep everything cool enough? And how do you secure the rear of the bags?

Good forum you guys have going here...

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hmm - can't help for sure, all I know is the exhaust does get hot enough to destroy cargo nets if they get to close, and the cargo nets were not touching the exhaust, + there was significant airflow between exhaust and net.... that is on a 2002VTEC.
