Well... it's a sad day, but I must have to come out and say that the 500 has now been adopted by another person that will hopefully love her as much as I did.

There are multiple factors that played into why I pulled the trigger, and none of them were becasue of the Squirrel. The first is I owed my mother some money for the down payment on my Soul, and was getting some pressure from her to sell while it was bike fever here in Ohio. I also figured it would turn around my finances which havent been great since my hours got cut at work. So I got her up on Easter morning for $1600 and had 7 people want to come look at it that night. I ended up selling it to the first guy that came by for $1350. I could have probably held out for $1500, but cash money talked. Not bad for a bike that was not running 2 months ago!

The next reason I sold was because I might have lined up another ride for the summer without having to buy a bike. One of my best friends just got out of open heart surgery about 3 mondays ago to fix 2 holes in his heart. Of course they had to break his sternum and 3 ribs to fix him up. The nurse told him he would probably be out of riding for up to 8 months, becasue god forbid if he went down, he would have the possibility of rebreaking everything and damaging his heart. That effectively puts him out of Ohio's riding season this year. His 2006 636 has already been sitting since last October, and it wont be good for it to sit all the way to next April. It has a little bit of fairing damage from another asshat that accidentally ran it into a parked car. So I straight up asked him if I replaced his fairing, did the mechanical upkeep, and insured the bike, could I possibly ride it this summer. He said yes, so now I have a *GASP* Kawasaki to ride this summer. :biggrin1:

But this is not goodbye to the inner VFR in me. I'm going to save up some cash, and purchase some form of VFR this winter while it is "white death" here in Ohio, and people would rather have the cash. I'll stick around though if you let me, wait to see Tink finally finish the .5, and help guide the unknowing 500 buyers. Thanks all for the help,

    'Chop

Sorry to hear Pork, but you should enjoy flogging that 636 out for a season. They you're REALLY appreciate the VFR when you come back, when you can still stand up strait and walk around a bit after riding...........

Yea, but I'm young. I think I can rock a set of clipons for a bit.

Not that I'd want to ride it to Florida or anything....
