A year and a half ago I bought an 83 VF750F that was alright mechanically, but needed some TLC regarding the plastics, so I decided to strip it and build it the way I want-naked and with a few minor touches for style. After a few attempts at fiberglassing a pod for the gauge cluster I got surfing around and noticed that at the same time (82 and 83 I believe), Honda was putting an interesting looking cluster on the Sabre. It wasnt the typical big round gauge standard cluster like on the magnas, but a lil more modern. Here's a link that shows it pretty well

I would assume that at worst it would just take a little time with a multimeter to make it work with my bike, but has anybody seen this done before? Also, can anybody point me to a forum or place other than ebay to find a cluster?
    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Carl

I have played with the old Hondas alot. Never did have the pleasure with Saber( The real one, not the shadow of a saber) I used parts off CB's, FT Ascots & and one early gen 1 Magna. I say go for it! If it dont fly, mod it, if that fails, build it.Back in that era Honda used alot of interchangeable parts.

I'd think v45 Magna gauge pods would be an easier swap... unless you don't plan to use the "gucci" gear indicators and such on the Sabre pod...
