Hey all,i just bought a 1985 VF700F Interceptor off my brother in law,its been sitting 6months without being started,he used it everyday for work before he bought a new bike, heres my problem... I thought all the jets were plugged up,so ran seafoam thru entire system,no change. Will start on choke but no throttle responce, and will die if no choke, wont idle. I pulled float bowls to look at jets, and to my surprise the 2 front carbs were full of gas,2 rear carbs are bone dry, with dust sitting in float bowls??? Please help me,what would cause fuel to go to front carbs, but not rear carbs? And could this cause my no run condition?? Fuel pump is pumping into glass when checked?

some obstruction in the fuel line or float needles stuck to seats or clogged filters just above the seats.

try blowing some compressed air into the fuel line, and see if that clears it.....

After storage it's not uncommon for vaccumn slides to stick in place (down), but they can be freed up with some WD-40 spray and lifting them with the tip of a screwdriver. Access them under the air filter, no need to remove carbs.

they should go up and return to bottom position within 1 or 2seconds.
