Trying out my New windscreen the ZG touring in clear with lower panted black in a poring rain. I thought I would luck out on this trip to the eye doctor in the middle of nowhere. It was suppose to be a 100 mile ride in the back roads of Maine. Well it kind of went a bit nasty with rain about half the time then taking a 20 mile detour and having to ask for directions. My gps tom-tom would have prevented this-I could have ran a wire to the battery to power it. I used it on my R6. I couldn't believe my 500+bike felt small with big trucks all over the place. Extra gas helped in the wind keeping the front wheel down in blowing wind. My helmet fell off the bike scratching the face shield a little, no big deal. Mud actually hit my face shield. I used bees wax on my leathers, saved my ass that bees wax. And I realized I can actually ride this vfr without falling down like Randy. I am now a much better rider but nowhere near as good as randy in the rain:bee::jason:. I would not have done this if I knew the rain would hit me that hard. It was suppose to be light rain, not hard rain. I also realized a scotts damper would have helped keep the bike straight in big cross winds and helped with potholes. A good damper does more than help with wheelies. The vfr is like a Cadillac compared to my old r6 and actually faster most of the time.

Figured now that I am retired, I wouldn't ride in the rain anymore. So foolish of me.
