Rode my VFR today-buring out old gas using the vtec a lot.

What a great bike I got-burning out the old gas-Napa has the Platinum oil filter on sale for $10 part number41356 best filter made for the vfr-designed to run with synthetic oil- filters real fine and also flows better than cheapo filters. I put more air in tires-they were rounding out too much. I got enough with the filter to do two oil changes. I should wash my air filter too-piper cross-it will last forever-k+ n cleaning kit. I am a old man but when I ride vfr it makes me ten years younger or twenty. :horn:

I take pic of my broom handle VFR lift- I plan on changing the oil with 1qt of 10-40rt Castrol syn,2 qts of 05-40, with 1/2 qt of 10-50 and puculator pure one oil filter.

I noticed the vfr sounded a little better after oil change using the new napa platinum oil filter- I would expect the engine to run cooler due to less oil pressure drop-the media used is special not paper or a blend and is wire backed so the media stays in place. Napa filter also will hold a lot more dirt and has a full proof by pass coil spring.:yo:

 

I also use a NAPA filter.

Why mix oil? Don't you end up with a ?W-??W oil?

 

No Napa, there crap....don't be cheap in the wrong way

O'Rilleys Had just a regular napa oil filter cut open and the guy was telling me they are terrible filters, and he has three bikes....looked pretty sparse inside.....
So didn't know about the gold. Just went to Honda and bought one

only the gold and- the super platinum the best filter made for the vfr. platinum made for syn oil. You simply can't make the best filter without using syn media. You can fine tune the filtering and the flow, a blended media is close like the pure one. The silver is not in top ranking of oil filters.:encore:

 

What do use D?

 

The Purolator Pure 1 (PL14612) it's slightly longer than the stock filter but the PL14610 is about the same size as stock.
