I like when I find something in another sport or field that crosses over to my current sport. While work in Washington state, I bought a Trek 2.3 bicycle (Road Bike) which I rode as fast as I could most of the time. Riding through the boonies on the converted railways to trails was fantastic, however, the constant worry about getting hurt or going off the trail got me interested in a product called RoadID. It is a bracelet I wear that has an ID Number and PIN that is linked to their central database (you control). There is an 800 Number for the EMS to call to get all your vital emergency contact information, blood type, allergies, etc., even your insurance numbers. This is marketed primarily to bicyclists, but works just a well for motorcyclists. I wear mine every time I ride. All the EMS or hospital has to do is call the 800 number with your ID and PIN and they can get all your info and contact your designated emergency contact.

Good idea. I have also seen cyclists with an emergency number written on their helmets. Not sure if I would want to do that to an expensive motorcycle helmet though.

We have a similar setup here in Ontario, Canada. It's available to anyone, in any sport. Very similar to MedicAlert.

I read somewhere that the "Dog tag" is the most recognized & most easily found form of ID for EMT's, so that's what I went with. I also have the "Emergency Info" tag on the side of my helmet. It's a little plastic sleeve about the size of a nickel & the card can be removed without touching the helmet, and has the phone # on it as well as whatever else you want to include, (blood type, allergies, favorite food, etc...)

Some might think it a little morbid, but if it helps...
