Hi, I'm trying to get the fairings of from my 06, but the lower front screw doesn't seem to grip the threads. Any ideas of how to get it out, and back in again? Cheers
Ok, the reason was that the nut had seized, a bit of rust remover/oil fixed that but it is pretty beat now and not usable. I've tried to find that part but haven't succeeded, does anyone know the number?
Hey Rhino Not sure exactly which part is it that you need from you're description but here is a link to the parts fiche from Partzilla. From that you should be able to at least find the part number and go from there. If it is just a regular style bolt / screw, then you may be able to source one from a local store that sells nuts/bolts/screws. If it is one of the polished stainless bolts with the large hex head you may be best to get it from Honda directly. Parts from the dealer can be more expensive, but if you only need one, it is sometimes worth the added cost. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/2006/VFR800+AC/REAR+COWL/parts.html
Thanks, that particaular site dind't have the graphics needed for me but I learned that it's called "lower cowl" and not "fairing" The part is the rubber nut thing called 90111-KW3-003... Now I can find it. /R
