Since we live in diferent parts of Europe, what are the riding season for each of us?

Do you ride all year round? Yes? No? Why?...

In Portugal, we can ride all year round, even in winter. Of course we have rain, but it is not such a big issue.

How about the rest of you?

    Hi,

I live in South East England and admittedly the it's the driest part of the country, I ride year round for many reason:
I like the challenge of a bit of bad weather,
I like the fact there are less people on the road in the winter, especially weekend warriors / Sports bikers.
I can't afford 2 vehicles for my personal transport
I am very impatient with car drivers so when I have to drive they p*ss me off!! no-one seems to know how to overtake these days and lane discipline on carriageways is non existant
I think it improves my riding because of the additional challenges
    I like the speed
    I like cornering
    I like the comradery
    I'm a sick puppy :)

What I don't like ......... the only things are getting too cold and/or wet, but you can do things about it. Oh and endangering my bike!

    Viva all year riding:)

    Enjoy the riding,

    Paul

A typical rideing season for me is from mid April to end of October, but for example this winter I could had ride all winter accept some 10 days that we had snow, but I didn`t. Call me lazy or what ever, but I perfer it to be at least 10 degres+ temps before I go rideing.

Every day! or almost, because I have a small child I've already tried to put him inside a back pack so I could ride my VFR and take my 8 month son with me!

No just kidding, I would never do that...I try to ride my VFR as often as it's possible, sometimes I have to use my car because it's not possible to travel with 5 persons on my motorbike!

Where I'm at in Germany have some really nice roads, just ask Keny!!! Unfortunately the weather is also very unpredictable. The first year I was here I rode 6 months, from Apr to Oct. Last year I rode 2 months, as I didn't have any wet weather gear. This year I have already put more miles/KM on my VFR that last year, we'll see how it goes this year weather wise...

All year long here. No snow or ice to worry about. I like good weather but in the summer to much hot it's far worst than to much cold. I prefer the cold because you can wear more clothes but in the summer i can't ride without my protections. TO me it's unthinkable to ride in t-shirt and shorts. And the rain don't bother me unless it's TO heavy. With a good water proof clothes there are no problem appart from be VERY careful riding
