I just FINALLY, after a lot of work and a ton of money, got my 3rd gen running!! Took it for a short test drive, and the only real issue at the time is the bit of a knock right off of idle from needing to do a carb sync. Does anyone know how long, or if, I can get away with riding the bike like this while i'm waiting to borrow a vacuum gauge set to do the sync?? Thanks in advance. Eric

dunno. But bumping the idle up a bit should help if there's just no keeping your ass off it the bike until it's done right.

Ride it until you do the synch. Most synch issues are most evident at and a bit above idle speed and at low throttle openings.
