Appears to be a fresh-water lake, within a stone's throw of the pacific ocean.

i guess my "report" was lacking a lot of detail.

Very Smooth; Nice Pavement.
Very Clean Pavement; No Gravel.
No surprise cattle-guards or slick spots.
One branch down, from an oak tree, on the backside of a riser on Vineland - it wasnt in my line, so no worries for me. And i turned around and kicked it off the road, so no worries for anyone else either.
And Very Low Traffic Conditions, til hwy 101. And then; only north of Pismo.

Anybody have an idea why that bird thought it smart to attack??

Cool. Thanks for posting the pics, flailer. The will help get us psyched for the SLOIII get together. Last year we all took pictures in the sand under the Morro Bay rock. Good times.
