I just got in my new regulator / rectifier from Ricks motorsport electrics, just wondering if its normal to stand at 14.18 volts steady regardless of RPM? Either idling or 5k rpms it seems its solid 14.16~14.18 volts, if i remember correctly isn't the volt supposed to rise and fall with rpm or does the mosfet ones supposed to stay steady like this? I just replaced it for safekeeping, my original seemed to be working fine but im slowly upgrading my changing system before something takes a crap.

Those look like good numbers to me. I think the more stable the voltage is is an indication of how well the R/R is working.

Wrap the old R/R in bubble wrap and duct tape and put it under your seat. Insurance on the cheap..

I get 14.4-14.5 on mine just installed last month with a new MMG Lithium Ion battery. They are pretty darned good at keeping the voltage steady.
