I was looking to replace my old JR Phoenix jacket with a newer mesh jacket. The Congo Air Mesh looked like what I was looking for. I work on an AF base and wanted to get a jacket that met their requirements without having to wear a vest. Pros – • Fits true to size. • Plenty of mesh so it should breath well • Has belt attachment and zipper in the back Cons – • Feels cheap to me • Has armor in the elbows – but unlike several other jackets, there is no extra padding built into the outer part of the jacket • The back pad is really cheap. Just a very thin piece of foam. I know you can order a separate pad and if I liked everything else that would have been an option. • The collar leaves a large gap around your neck, perfect for scooping bugs in. • I prefer jackets that are cut longer in the back so they cover better when you’re bent over riding. Result – I’m sending the jacket back and getting something else. Before someone replies that I should get a perforated leather jacket, not likely. I wear a eruo size 60 and the only ones I’ve seen that met my requirements were in the $400 range. Action
Take a look at the Olympia Air Glide. Yes it is a silly name, but it is a nice jacket. I've tried it on & when my Icon TiMax wears out, thats probably the jacket I'm going with. Olympia Moto Sports - Mens Airglide 2 Mesh Tech Jacket KC-10 FE out... lane: :usa2:
