Was running pretty hot and fast in the twisties yesterday, looked down and the tach needle was a hair over 12,000 rpm. The tach face has the redline at 11,800 or so.

Does the 2006 VFR have a rev limiter and at how many rpms does it engage?

    Thanks,

    BB

On my 93 the redline starts about 11,800 like yours and ends at 13,000. It will hit 13,000 (or at least mine will as I have done it) At 13,000 the engine will cut out because it can't rev any further. But really, where the redline starts is where the engine is just making noise, IMO.

Ive hit the rev limiter several times, happens a between 12500 and 13000. But Vin is right, let her rev that high, and she isnt pulling anymore, shift at 11-12K ever shift and you will get to speedy in a hurry.
