    howdy!
I found this forum a few months ago after i re-purchased my original 1984 vf500f interceptor and the information has been quite useful.

This is my original bike (I still have the original receipt from the dealer) that I sold to a good friend of mine back in 1990. It has 33,000 miles, of which i put 28,000 on in the first 5 years I owned the bike. As I moved up to a CBR600, I sold this to my buddy for $500.

10 years later, he sells it back to me for $500.

I've finally found the time this spring to go through the bike. It's always been garage kept, buy it has sat for years. Rebuilt the carbs, adjusted the valves, lined the tank and she fired right up!

This past weekend, I prepped and primed the plastic for painting. The lower cowl is missing, but my buddy did purchase the full side panel when they were available.

The only thing i haven't decided is a paint scheme. I know the base is going to be pearl white, and I'm debating on going back to the original metallic red/white. Anyone have a source for the decals?

I know pictures complete the post, so i'll warn you to close your eyes or put sunglasses on. When I sold this to my buddy in '90, neon colors were REALLY popular. He actually didn't think it would just be a fad. I did take the rainbow colored "bitchin" sticker off the windshield. The oakley sticker will probably stay.

    The seat is for sale!
