As the OEM muffler got scratched badly during the previous owner's tip over I wanted to consider an aftermarket replacement.

Like the looks of the DANMOTO--BUT--NO tab for the center stand on the Right side so each time the bike is removed from stand the "tang" will crash into the muffler and eventually cause a ding/dent.

Prefer not excessively loud but would like to release a bit more of the beautiful V4 sound.

    Also MUST be LOW MOUNT.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks in advance

I had a micron on mine, and it sounded very nice. Not loud, low mount, and it has a tab for center stand. I went with a high pipe setup so need to sell this. It also has a head pipe.

I have a Delkevic high mount without dB killer. Can also be bought as low mount.
To the looks of it when I’m riding, some think it’s loud. (Putting fingers in ears)

My plan is to buy the black widow headers to get stainless headers and removal of the collectorbox which also is a sound killer..

A V4 is supposed to be heard

I was very happy with th Delkevic stainless tri-oval that I had on my 5th gen; well made, not too loud and fitted perfectly including the centrestand stopper.

This is a little off-beat, but does anyone know the 99's inlet size? From what I've heard on YouTube video's the SuperTrapp S/C Elite sounds very much like a StainTune. Problem is, there's no VFR fitment - I'd need to use a universal application.

Having had a Supertrapp on my other bike, I am very doubtful it would sound like a Staintune. The end cap with the exhaust getting squeezed through the rings gives it a much different sound than a can with baffles and end open end. On my VFR I've had stock and Delkevic. On my Hawk, I've had stock, Delkevic and Supertrapp. My least favorite of all of those was the Supertrapp. The only thing that was nice about the Supertrapp was the tunability.
