Help. I have just taken ownership of a VFR1200f (2011).
The right hand side front indicator has stopped working. I have tried to take the mirror assembly apart to get to the bulb.
I have removed the x2 top screws but cannot get access to the last x1 bottom screw.
Am I making this more difficult than it needs to be????
How do I get access to the bulb?
While I'm at it, any tips for changing the build for an LED one?
    Thanks in advance

The diagram is from the service manual, I don't have a 1200 but hope it helps.

If you want to use LED's you are best off installing an LED-specific flasher unit. LEDs draw much lower current than an incandescent bulb, and unless you either add an in-line resistor to each light or use the LED flasher, you will end up with a very fast (and probably not MOT compliant) flash rate.

Hi Terry, thanks for getting back to me. I have managed to get to the bulb (my mirror assembly does not have the 'quick release' single screw. I had to fiddle with the x3 screws that hold the mirror assembly together. It turns out the bulb is fine and now I have to locate the loss of supply to the bulb holder.

As for the LED conversion, I'll have to do some more research to make sure I don't give myself any unwanted problems.

    Thanks again.
