Replacement for chamber/ collector 88 VFR750FJ

Hello fellow VFR Owners,

My bike came to me minus the collector chamber and cans. I ordered the chamber as listed for sale through the Honda Australia parts system, however have now been advised that it is not in stock and discontinued. Enquiries overseas via the web have returned the same answer. Have original style cans and need a solution for the gap between them and the headers. The attached parts diagram illustrates the form of the original part, which is different to the previous model. I am aware that Motad has produced a complete exhaust system in the past, however am currently advised there are none left in stock - would also like to save$ and use my existing headers if possible. Have any of you attempted to have a shop fabricate a solution - perhaps 2 extensions for the headers notched to a crosspipe that connects the cans?
