I'm repairing a 1986 Honda VFR700F2 that I bought from an auction. I'm missing a few body panels, and the ones I have left are in rough shape. I'm looking for replacements, and the ones I'm seeing on eBay and resale sites are in just as rough shape. I have found a few sites who make and sell new/reproduction panels. The only one I've found that come close to my '86 VFR700F are ones they make for the '86 VFR750F. So, here are my questions I'm hoping you all can help me understand: Are the 700 & 750 panels interchangeable? (buy the ones for a 750 & put on my 700) Anyone heard of (or recommend) a company called "Air-Tech"? Website is https://www.airtech-streamlining.com/honda-fairings-seats-fenders-parts/VFR7501986-88.htm Is there a site anyone can recommend finding new or used body panels/fairings? Can anyone recommend a site/company for replacement graphics/decals for the body panels?
1. Yes 2. Yes. Race type fiberglass bodywork. Fairly thin and requires lots of prep and attention to detail to look really good. 3. See #2, Beasley Composites and eBay. Ebay will be top dollar for pretty shitty pieces. Luck, patience and $$$ required. Also this sticky is right at the top of the page. https://vfrworld.com/threads/1986-honda-vfr750f-body-parts-sources.5166/ 4. I think there are some full sets on eBay as well. CB Decals is good too. Also check out Honda-Decals.com There's a few threads on this topic as well.
