I'm thinking of removing the CA Evap system and blocking off the front/rear air injection on my 1995. Has anyone done this? Will I encounter any problems to watch out for?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Gary

Haven't done it on 4G, but I did it on a 6G without issues. There was a recent thread here where a rider with a 7G attempted it, but had error codes flashing afterwards....the '95 doesn't have the extensive electronic nanny aids, like the 7G. Shouldn't be a problem. Make sure what you do is reversible, just in case something does go sideways, but I doubt it will. Good luck.

Simple 90's/2k electronics are usually relatively easy to fool with a few resistors and diodes in the right spot, mimicking the whaddaya had where you removedthebit...

But going into the later models, you need to disable stuff in the ecu program to get error free operation.

There is no electronics to deal with on our gen 4s... I don't have any pics to share but its an easy delete...shed some pounds too! That charcoal canister is heavy.
I put a K&N crankcase vent filter on the big line to keep oil out of the intake. The other vac lines just need to be capped off. I got an aluminum one way valve for the fuel tank vent line, like the kind you get for the vent line on a dirtbike gas cap.
I have a full aftermarket exhaust with a K&N airfilter... I rejetted the carbs with a FactoryPro rejet kit. The delete was already done by the prior owner, but he never jetted the bike. It runs tits now!

I just did it on my 90, non-CA. It cleans things up nicely. I couldn't weasel the rear hard lines out, so I cut them. I'll find whose blockoff plates I used and post. They didn't cost much, definitely worth buying vs making your own.

I just used a die grinder to cut the hard part of the line and ended up removing the plate and plug welded the ends up, cleaned them up re-used the silver gaskets on a few bikes, others tore and I had to order replacements from honda. You could be a Neanderthal and just cut the line and crimp the end, just saying. Peace

I used hi-temp RTV on mine because some of the gaskets got torn up. I hope I don't regret it.

Maybe I'll order new gaskets and put them on before it becomes inconvenient to do when the bike is assembled.
