Yup it has been done before google frankinviffer but if I remeber correctly he used a 01 rc51 lower triple with a 954rr upper and 04 rc51 forks but again RC stuff is super expensive make sure you get enough travel out of whatever forks you do get id not under heavy braking he tire might hit the head.
