    A couple of quick questions.

Did you paint it or did you send it out?

If sent out, may I asked how much it cost?

    Thanks for your time.

Is that rust I see on the neck? That tank has an orgasmic finish.

Sorry for any delay in responses but, I have been busy playing with motorcycles and not computers.
Yes, there is still a little surface rust on the seat of the cap but, I am not concerned with that.
I am not a painter, this paint was applied by a master in North Hollywood, Ca named Noe Solano and the finish is really beautiful.
The winds are blowing here in Los Angeles now and have been for days so there will be no pleasure riding but, I will be putting the finishing touches to the little vfr700f and get her ready to list for sale. My big VFR1200F is not going anywhere but, I need money so my little vfr is going to be someone else's soon if my plans come to fruition.

That small area of what might or might not be rust/oxidation is better than paintwork over raw steel and the paint chips falling into the tank.

Kudos to Mr.Solano for a pro job.

Y'all can bet your asses that this painter has done dozens of paintjobs and he did not miss anything.

The man does a lot of high end cars but, he has been stuck working on motorcycle parts because all of his friends are riders and or motorcycle mechanics.
Noe did my CBX gas tank in 2010 and it came out aces.

His pricing is surprisingly fair and you will not regret your choice using this Noe Solano guy to paint & decal your motorcycle body work.

What I paid is between me and Noe because we have history and I get discounted rates but, trust that he is out to paint and does so with an master's touch at very fair prices.
This is the tank that came with the bike and as soon as I have the cash, it is going to get epoxy lined and then painted & decaled just like the one on my bike now.

This is the tank when I got it from a friend in Florida for free.

My tank needed to be body worked, rust holes on bottom left side filled, primed then shot over to GTL for old liner removal & epoxy lining then shot back over to Noe to be painted, decaled, clear coated, wet sanded & buffed again.

Now both of my VFRs are complete which makes me happy.

I can tell you he charged me $300.00 to paint my CBX tank with Candy Glory Red paint that was perfectly matched and applied far better than OEM as far as I am concerned.

fair enough... sometimes those deals are personal... I was figuring between 300-500 just or the tank with little to no prep as in already done but the finish sanding...

Solano sounds more Hispanic than Finnish.
