I have an '07 VFR 800. I put a competition werkes fender eliminator on it last year. Yesterday I got caught in a rain storm and discovered that I need a rear hugger to protect some of what no longer has protection. I found suggestions for the Harris product on this page: Honda rear huggers

I also saw someone who recommended the Red Fox one from this site: Welcome to SIDE - Simpson Detour

The Harris requires you to pull off the stock chain guard, but everyone swears by the quality. The Red-Fox got OK ratings for quality, too, but does not appear to require removing the chain guard.

I humbly turn to you, my VFR brothers and sisters (we have sisters, right?), for advice on these or any other hugger products that are high quality. (Seriously not into doing stuff on the cheap on this bike. It is a work of art and I am really simply trying to show off the art a little more.)

Don't know anything about the Red Fox, but the Harris' fit, finish, and quality is top notch. Mine has been on there for 9 years and still looks great.
