A riding buddy of mine (rides a FZ-1) forewarded this link to me today to an FZ-1 discussion group Agree to the terms and check it out. And, no, going to an FZ-1 discussion site does not constitute blasphemy! (in this case)

Bottom line: Some dude named "Yellow Wolf" rode 54 round-trips up and back on Deals Gap over a 24hr period. That's over 1,000 miles....on a GOLD WING!

Yellow Wolf is well known at the Dragon. I saw the same thing posted either here or on VFRD. But its stil awsome. He has a lot of time and experience on the Dragon since he shoots video following or leading other riders thru there if they ask him to, tho he does charge the customer for the video. I'll give him this...he know how to ride that Gold Wing.

Last year I rode the Dragon w/ another Harley and 4 Wingdingers from Louisiana. To keep up with the Wingdingers, I vibrated out 2 crankcase bolts (Rubber Mt. Dyna).

These were huge McDonald's mavens. But 30 yr. plus riders.

The pace was as fast as I had done with sportbikes!

I was most impressed, but I prefer the insanity of sportbike folks or the more sedate Harley geezers (like me). Every second of the trip was planned..... I escaped on day 3!

Keep in mind that a lot of the Uber-fast guys call those of us on VFRs - Wingdingers!
