So started having some issues with my ‘05 with 50,000 miles. Testing things out found a fried stator. Looking around here, it seems that the Honda ones are recommended. Are they still the ones to have or is there a better option?? Thanks

Haven't heard anything bad about the OEM Stators, but you should check the three pin connector on the right side of the bike for discoloration and replace the R/R at the same time, then you can rest easy for another 50K.
Many threads and comments in here about charging issues.

The most common advice is to scrap the connector and solder those ends

Thanks for the advice. Yea, the stator plug melted back in 2013. I repaired it with a terminal block. I check over the electrical system every oil change, that’s how I found this problem. Bike was still running fine, just wasn’t charging as well as it should be.
