Ok, so I've got you all stumped on this one. How about this then? I have found a source for a second hand "VFR800 V-TEC ABS 2001 REAR SWINGING ARM & STUB AXLE Genuine Honda part, in excellent condition,in full working order, with all the bearings and chain adjuster, complete and ready to fit." Will the bearings on this fit the non-ABS version of the VFR800 VTEC? I will of course check with the seller that 'as promised' the bearing holder is in excellent condition. Thanks Steve A couple of days agao I asked I need to replace the rear wheel bearing holder on my VFR. Looks like the previous owner used a hammer and screwdriver to adjust the chain. Consequently the correct tool no longer grips it to allow me to adjust the chain in the appropriate manor. I have found a supplier who can ship the entire bearing holder, complete with new bearings in situ. Honda VFR 800 Fi-1 01 Rear Wheel Chain Adj. Unit Inc. Bearing Replacement Motorcycle Parts at Wemoto However they do not list this part at all for the VTECH models though in the service manual the part looks identical. Does anyone out there know if they are the same? Infact as far as the rear swing arm assembly, wheel and sprockets are concerned, do they differ at all on all VFR 800? Is anyone able to confirm the part number as I can't find it anywhere?
