Rear Swingarm Stuck '85 VF700F

Hi guys and Happy 4th of July!
I am waiting for a new rear shock. I had the bike up on the rear stand with the shock off. I bumped into it moving something around and it fell back and down all the way to the wheel. After getting it back on the center stand, the swingarm will not go down. It is stuck almost all the way up. I can put a jack under the tire and raise it an inch or so freely, and back down the same, but it is catching somewhere. It doesn't make sense...it should just fall back down...I guess the mufflers anc wheel are coming off, then the linkage. So much for an easy and quick swap....

 

time for a BFH ?

if the hammer didnt work maybe the linkage is stuck, not a common problem. small chance that shock is stuck.

 

Yeah, first I'll get the wheel off and be able to get to the linkage easily. Sigh
