Rear stock shock WANTED

has anyone replaced the rear shock on a 6th gen and doesn"t want the stock one????
I am looking for the stock shock w/ remote preload adjuster on it. Biut not picky it could be the non abs shock.
I have an 02 and my shock is KAPUT!! and I don't have the money to go aftermarket.
I was hoping that someone here has done the mod and would be willing to give the shock to me, I would of course pay for the shipping..

Have you called Race-Tech?

The 4th gen stocker is sealed too (i.e. can't be rebuilt by mere mortals) , but Race-Tech cuts it open and re-does the inside and seals it back up.

I've been researching for future swap. A 929 or 954 swap is possible with some modifications and a fabricated mount on the upper end of the shock. VFRdiscussion has some good suspension info.

 

I just bought an '03 ABS shock (w/ the remote preload) off one of the forum members, guy from Vancouver...so I will be getting rid of my non-ABS 'regular' rear shock very soon...my bike's an '03, 25,000 miles and the rear shock is still doing great. I would love to sell it to you for cheap in the very near future. PM me.
