    Hey everybody
I just developed a new problem on my finally reassembled VF1000F. I just bought this bike. It was extremely well cared for by the previous owner. Long story short, the bike wasn't running without the choke on. I pulled the carbs (that was a fun party) and I finally got it all back together. When it fired up, the rear the cylinders were not firing. Switched the leads on the coils to check the coils and the coils seem to work. When I put the test light on the yellow lead (going to the rear cylinder coils) I'm not getting any juice (which should usually flicker with the test light). My buddy cleaned off one of the plugs off the main wiring harness, and all four cylinders fired up! So, I took off on my test run, then lost the rear cylinders. I checked out the plug that we had cleaned and everything looked OK. Seem confusing, well I am. Anybody have any thoughts of what I could try?

Desperate to actually take the bike out and put it through it's paces!

or the connectors for them. You can swap CDI boxes for testing (only) to see if ones bad. Check the connections for the boxes.

Yeah I tested the CDI and it seems to be working. Looks like it's some sort of cable problem I guess

Check both sides of the ignition coils for proper resistance, and be sure that the 2 low voltage leads are going to the proper coil, not switched.
