rear brake peddle

    hi all . could some one post a picture of there rear brake peddle from the top looking down from the seat as i think my peddle is bent towards the engine and i want to compare, thanks

    Same here, wondering if replacing the pedal would reduce cramping since it's maxed out on adjustment.

    Yep, yours is bent. Could have fallen over while stationary, check for grind marks on the edge of the pedal. If it fell over while stationary then there will just be a scuff or two, not grind marks like it slid along the ground. Also looks like the frame is shiny where the pedal has been rubbing on it.

    Maybe the PO had big feet and wanted it out of the way. Pretty unlikely but you never know.

    Take a tire iron, slide the socket end over the pedal, and slowly but firmly pull back straight. It won't break. Promise.

    Better to remove it from the shaft first, just to be on the safe side. May not break but it could bend the shaft, not really likely but why take a chance.

    there is a scuff on bar end and engine casing. i work in metal workshop so will take it in and put a little heat into it just to be safe and not snap it. while we are talking about this area what are the bars at the end of the pegs called and where can i replacement

    yer think thats what they are my bike dont have them attached. i was always scrapping pegs on bandit but think the vfr are higher up and don't want to over push the bike. changing subject slightly. are vfr a bit tail happy as i'm sure ive had the back end spin up sideways while pushin through the corner.
