I bought this 6th gen in August. It's done 48k kms and sounds and goes great ;-) It had been stolen, painted black and bits taken off it/missing. I got it from a guy who bought it from a Police auction. He'd done some work on it but it needed more. He gave me a 110 profile front tyre for it. I know it should have a 120 but this feels fine and was free with the bike. I've had it fitted as the tyre on it wasn't up to WOF spec. The forks needed new seals - I had my mechanic do them. The tank had a reasonably sized dent on the side and a few small dents. I waited months for a panel beater friend to remove / fill them for me. He's slow but good and cheap. He also repaired the areas of the LH fairing that were broken. It has obviously gone down on it's LH side. I've now removed layers of paint from previous resprays and refinished it in silver (I had the base coat already), added the decals (the 800 ones are on top of the clear so can be removed) and 2k clear coated it. New Chinese screen. Pillion grab handles - they're off a CBR I think. I had to get creative about mounting them! The front fairing section was pretty rough so I got a new Chinese one. It's good quality but I wasn't happy with the wasteful packing they used when I'd asked for very little of it ;-( They gave me a partial refund - that doesn't help the Environment though. The battery cover is missing. They're really had to come by and not wanting to spend the $$ for an aftermarket one I used a piece of cardboard, shaped and painted it. It does the job.... My bike mech. came over last week and did the brake cert (needed to get back on the road) and replaced the rear pads. I got a complete set of pads with the bike. It's now ready for the strict WOF, buying the new plate and registering it. ;-)
