So I took the big hurtle today and started the repairs on the bike. maybe a little backwards but hey its a start, plastics came off they were sanded down, decals removed and repaired and primered they look alright. I know I should just get new plaastic and not waste my time well Im not rich so every piece tha I can fix well I'm fixing. over the next couple of days removing the carbs fixing the huge dent in the tank and getting the guage cluster cleaned up. I think I'll just spray it all pearl white for now and then think on my own RWB sceme to use.once I get the carbs off... well... we will see what we see. (or maybe I will do it in YELLOW just so I can be like Drewl. cause he is my hero.:bootyshake2: anyone know anyone thatis interested in parts for an 85 GS700E I will be parting mine out it has to go this way the frame is bent, and I'm not gonna be responsible for someone getting hurt if they ride it later CR
Congrats on the 700 project. i am in the process of rebuilding MY VERSION of the "VFR700RR" also. just finished my cbr600rr tail section conversion...going to start on racetech fork rebuild in a couple of weeks. Got the f2 forks on there. but keep us posted and pics are great. might wanna open this thread in 1st-2nd gen vfrs cause you dont wanna get in the way of Policital, Harley Sucks, Or The Secret Contents of Bologna threads over here.
