Hey all, this is my second current Honda - my 2007 600RR I originally commuted on, then turned into a full track bike once I realized I was gonna die on the 405 riding like that. I've been without a street bike for a long time, it was down to a VFR of some flavor or an SV650, which was my first bike and a great all arounder as well. A 5th gen VFR project showed on CL, and $900 later I trailered it home.

I'm going with no fairings, bike needs tail light, turn signals, and gauges. I bought some no name gauges and an integrated tailight off ebay for cheap, as an experiment to see how well this works and to keep this build down in price. Though later, if I continue to ride and like the bike, I'd like to peel off the very weathered forks and put the front end of a late model Duc Monster on (I like the look and would like bars on the bike). I have lots of VFR questions but I'll search the forums as much as I can for answers. If any of you have any hot 5th gen tips you want to share I'll definitely appreciate them.

    Ride red!

Welcome to The World FightingChance! As Duccmann said, I have a 5 Gen and I'm in the OC as well. If you do not have the Honda Service Manual, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to the one I have in my DropBox folder.

    Cheers
