Hey everyone. I just picked up my new 2015 VFR 800 this last week! Now comes all the accessories and little tweaks. I have already ordered the MotoPumps risers, and now I am looking for a good way to mount a phone. I have a RAM mount on another bike of mine and I was wondering which ball mount you guys would recommend. The stem mount is not big enough! Let me know what your setup looks like! Pictures are also much appreciated!

Also does anyone have OEM side cases? Do you like them and why or why not? I am thinking of ordering some!

Mount it in front of the tank. You will need to use longer bolts.

Love my panniers because they are so easy to use.

Did the same os "fink" (tank mount + longer bolts).
(u can measure the thickness of the mount and add to the old bolts length)

OEM standard bolts are : BOLT, FLANGE (6mm thick X 28 mm long)
guess the ram mount for the tank is around 10-12 mm height.

So U need about 40 mm long L BOLT, FLANGE (6X40) its a standard millimetric thread bots.
(take out one and show the hardware store guy near U - its a standard bolt - can get it in black metal elen format (gets a bit rust ) or neurosta steel hexagon...)

They make ones that mount to the brake and clutch reservoir which replaces the screws with longer ones.

Stem mount will work. Just needs a couple of layers of electrical tape to make it big enough - don't forget it expands as you tighten. You can move it around with you hand even when tight but my Garmin 660 doesn't move while riding.

I bought a stem mount RAM kit through Revzilla. I used the bolt that cam with the kit and cut the insert as inst cited and it tightened up rock solid without problem. Zero issues.

Have the hard cases and love them. Plenty of space and make he bike look even more "red".

UPDATE! So I went with the RAM mount and stem piece. I used an old bicycle tire tube and cut an inch long section out of it. I inserted the stem into the section of rubber tube, then put that into the center of the nut. After tightening per RAM's instructions, the thing is in there quite tight! I can move it with some significant force from myself but it is very solid. Would recommend if anyone would like it center mounted to your tree! Turns with the handlebars. Next is ordering cases!

Holy shit, thanks for this photo of your bike! I thought that I wanted the hard Oem bags. I do, but I cannot fit the bike it the single garage that I have along with the car. ;-)

They are a lil wide and won't fit my helmet but I do like them because I use them on a daily basis for work. I have to take them off at the end of my drive way and vise versa before I pull in between 2 cars
