So, in an hour or so, I'm going to go take a look at a 5th gen ('01). It would be my first VFR, and my first ST (I currently ride a GSX-R, but I want something more comfortable).

Yesterday, I discovered the Sprint ST and did a bunch of looking, but there are none in my area for sale in the same price range that I can go look at to compare with the VFR.

Given that I'm looking for something in the $4k-$5k range, which puts me in the early-00s, does the VFR stack up well, or should I wait for a Sprint ST to become available?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Buy the VFR and don't look back. I bought mine new and was looking at the Triumph then too. The Triumph salesman sealed the deal for me when he not only wouldn't allow a test drive, but wouldn't even let start one.

Ask VFR Owners What to Buy?

Am not sure you're going to get too many folks here suggesting you get a non-VFR...

And :bs: to anyone who suggest anything else!

So, as of about 11:00 AM this morning, I'm the proud new owner of an '01 VFR. I'll post some pics in a few when I can take some. I've got 50 miles on it already

Seriously I have a friend that owned a Sprint if you like spending time working on a bike or taking it in for service. Stay with the VFR and don't look back only look forward and enjoy!
