Hi guys, new here. When I return from the middle east I will be shopping for an '02 VFR 800 or newer. Are there any problems or issues I need to be aware of? TIA

There was a recall on the a valve in the brake system, the charging system sometimes doesn't like to be abused, VTEC can be punchy at times, and give the wiring under the seat a quick look for burnt conntectors.

I had a connector burn up on mine and cause this weird cutting out problem. Of course, I run electric grips and Widder vest sometimes. I replaced a harness, R/R, and the stator at about 48,000 miles. It has been fine for the last 5,000 and even ran TWO electric vests for a few days in April!

Not too much to worry about. Look for all the normal signs of crash damage on the plastic, side and center stands, and rider and passenger pegs. These bikes don't give the rider too much to worry about.
