Can ABS be added to a non ABS bike?

Also, could the PCM from a newer year be put on a 2002? Doesn't the '06 and newer have the different VTEC engagement points?

You could do anything you wanted to the bike if you had enough money and put enough effort into it. It certainly isn't something that would be easy to do in my opinion so the quick and dirty answer would be No. In addition to having to hook up all the additional electrical components the non-ABS model does not have a rear proportional control valve under the seat. I'm not sure exactly what the damn thing does but it's only applicable to the ABS model and it's there for a reason. The older and newer 6th Gens also have different wiring harnesses so I'm not sure if that would also come into play with some of the electrical components.

Yes the VTEC engagement point was lowered on the newer model 6th Gens from 2006 onward. In regards to swapping the PCM the answer is also No because the fuel injectors are different on the 02-05 bikes than on the newer models.

    Why exactly are you asking?

Current car is a Ford Focus and last car was a Dodge Neon. They both have a lot of mods that involve swapping the parts from different model. Just wondering if I should get any of the items mentioned if I found them cheap.

I am told half of the service manual is about the ABS brakes. A few hundred pages!! I would definitely stay away from that.
