P1010393.jpg My stock adj preload shock has about 10,500 miles on it. I figure a shock with the right spring and fresh oil should help me over bumps. That's what I tune for bumps-hate bumps:eek:nthego: Short ride on modded shock-it does ride nicer! Here's a pic looks pretty shape' on a vfr.:bandito:

Tell us how it feels on full tilt boogie threw fast sweepers. ..or are you talking about your ride out your driveway, 1/2 down the road and turning around goin in a straight line?

I put the DMR though some tight curves and bumps-handle them well. I noticed the stock shock wasn't working correctly any more due to the gas being totally leaked out over ten years. this happens in all shocks -cold hits them-the gas leaks out then they don't push up any more. But now of course the front needs work -to match the now working rear shock,. I would say this DMR mod works well for a street rider may come up a bit short for a racer which I am not just a sport tour rider-fast riding but not extreme. I didn't spend a $1000 just $495 installed. there is a lot of adj on the DMR that the stock one doesn't have. I could feel the ride was much smoother due to the piston actually pushing up again instead of feeling every bump.:funky:

I give the DMR the thumbs up-big improvement over a ten year old rear shock that all the gas leaked out years ago. it feels very smooth in the back now-but now my forks feel like shit.:flex:

You do realize that Jamie builds the shock to suit your weight and riding type you will be doing? If you want a shock built for touring/street riding, then that's what you'll get. Now go and get the front end kit and be done with it.
