Hi, I am new to these forums and just purchased the '86 babyceptor. :snowman: It has 30k and looks/ idles great. There is still 4 feet of snow where I am so I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. All original, all there except a missing radiator cowl. :dread: The tank has a dent in the left side by the emblem. :torn: Just had new fork seals, oil change, carb clean and sync. Valve check/condition is completely unknown. At some point I'd like to fix that dent and possibly track down a cowl. These parts are hard to find..I bought this one because of its HOT color scheme and the fact that '86 was the best year for reliability on the 500. This 500 has the best power-to-weight ratio of the second-gen Interceptors and has greatly reviewed handling and maneuverability and is tops on the list for the elusive 'fun factor' that so many bikes strive for but few achieve. It's a great bike. Anything to keep in mind with this one?
