Ok I brought my VFR800 and I could probably blame shows like "wheeler dealer" and "american chopper" for what ensued.

    Mods completed:

    - bar ends
    - pazzo levers
    - k & n filter
    - smog plate block off
    - delkevic headers
    - GPR hi rise exhaust
    - PC3
    - Led rear light
    - clear blinkers
    - Wave disks "hong kong" galfers
    - snorkel and flapper valve removal
    - Ohlins HO801 rear shock
    - Ohlins springs and valves
    - Polished front wheel

    Here are the pics..

I completed every mod, most by using tutorials found on THIS website (I had the forks done professionally and dyno of course)

Thanks so much to everyone who has posted their installs. The ohlins install helped me heaps.

P.S. The ohlins damper adjustment is a good 10-15mm away from the exhaust (everyone mentions this). It does look like its touching I admit :)

you might want to rethink on how you ran that ohlins cable that you have by your exhaust pipe...as for track days, don't use your VFR to do this sport, buy a cheap F2/3/4 for that. You'll thank me when you decide to wreck doing a trackday.

Very nice work! Tastefully modded. One suggestion, maybe run that remote preload adjuster up into the trunk under the seat for a cleaner look. You shouldn't need to adjust it that often...

+1 on getting a cheap track bike. After totaling one RC51 and putting another bike down at the track, I would say it is a lot more fun to push a bike that is "disposable"!

Beautiful. What kind of improvement are the pazzo levers over the stock ones?

I have been on some big runs and it is not getting that hot. I can't actually make it touch the pipe. It is pushing the other way.

Don't worry though as even after a few weeks I am still regularly checking it :)

Its great to have the adjustability. That being said if you don't care about name the chinese knock offs look ok.

They are functional but I am not sure how long the paint will last.

    I think pazzos are overpriced..

At this stage I am happy to do track days cause I know I won't be pushing too hard.

    I share your concerns though.

race plastic (when I can afffford it) :)

I am going to consider the damper relocation. It is a pain sometimes and you are right if the bike goes down it is gooooone.

I'll let that idea germinate ;)

I think they are overpriced too, but they really do add to the look of the bike. The ASV levers seem to cost about the same. I was able to grind a little material off the stock clutch lever adjuster to increase the adjustability a little cause I don't have real big hands. Frame sliders would be a great addition to your bike. The hardest part is bringing yourself to hole saw the fairing...

Drilling the hole is easy! Drilling it in the right location however, can be a bit tricky!

On the Preload adjuster relocation under the seat - Can't remember how much space there is on the VFR, but on my RC51 the cable routes up through a hole in the undertail near the top of the shock, and the adjuster unit slides nicely right under those black rubber bands that hold the tool kit down. Just don't kink the cable and you'll be good.

This way you can pull it out of those rubber bands, give it a twist as needed, and slip it back under.

I agree. I was just telling someone the other day that I like riding my VFR more on the track than my GSXR.

My mate just brought the ASV levers and I like them more than the pazzos. Very nicely finished...
