Hi, I just picked up my first bike, an 85 VF500 a few weeks ago. One of the minor issues it's having is the front left signal won't blink. It works fine as a driving light, but when I turn on the signal, the front doesn't blink and the rear does the rapid blink as if the other bulb is burned out. I tried replacing the bulb and that did nothing. Is there any specific point in the circuit that anyone would recommend me looking at?

    Thanks!

Yeah, start at the wiring connections where the turn signal plugs into the harness. If you're getting correct voltage there, then the issue lies with the bulb/turn signal.

For testing, you can wire the left turn signal bulb connections to the right turn signal wiring harness. Since we know the right turn signal works correctly, if the left signal still doesn't work, then you know the left signal/bulb is bad.

I always first test continuity of all bulbs if they don't work.
