Power Source / Power outlet in rear?????

Hey guys,

I'm far from new to motorcycles but new to the VFR. I just picked up my '03 and am loving it. Here's the question though

There is a wire(s) coming out from under the rear cowl that looks like its a power source for accessories. I'm not sure if it is or isn't though. It is 2 black wires that connect at the end to a black ending that looks like you can plug something into it. Is it a power lead?

I know my description is junk. If I get time to run over to my storage unit in a bit I'll take a picture which should help a bit. I'm just trying to figure out what this thing is and if I can tap into it for power.

If you happen to know let me know. If not I'll try getting a picture.

Might be the wire for tender charger. Post a picture for us to clarify

 

Sounds like a plug for a battery tender. Is it small and round, almost like a headphone jack?

 

Lets make sure this isn't the service connector...a pic is definitely in order here. "And whatever you do, don't press that red button".
