I have a power commander 2 that came with my 2001 vfr. Installed it and low and behold it has never been mapped out... i don't have the box or instructions on it. Does anyone know what i need to do to get it mapped or is there any point in putting it on. It runs just fine without it...

    thanks for the input:ranger:

yeah, head over to the homepage powercommander.com and get the software. then you need to get a computer that has a serial port and get a cable to connect to the 9-pin serial on the PC2. I bought mine at radio shack. I had to get a converter to use USB with the serial cable, though since my laptop didn't have old fashioned serial port. hmm, looking at the dynojet homepage it looks like the software for the old PCII may not exist anymore. if you can't find it, I'll look around for it. I have the disc somewhere... anyway, find the closest map to your setup and download it, and once you have the software, you hook it up and send it to the PCII via your comp and you should be all good. It's not too hard once you do it the first time.

Even the "base" map for your VFR is better then stock... So don't be afraid to give it a try.

    Thanks

I'm down to where I pick the map. What it comes up with are all different kinds of exhaust except mine which is a remus slip on. Do i pick stock mapping or should i go with another brand of slip on and hope for the best. Thanks for all your help!
