Power commander or other fuel injector add on

I'm trying to decide wheter to get a power commander or other ones like it. I don't know much about them and wondering if they are worth it. I have a Staintune exhaust and have read that without something remapping injetors they only change and not performance.

 

My CBR1100xx came with one and the difference it makes in smoothing out throttle response and just generally making the bike more ridable was so great that I have picked up Power Commanders for both my VFR800 and my Hayabusa also with no regrets. On the VFR800 especially, it made the low end response smoother and the bike just generally more fun to ride. The newish "accelerator pump" feature make a big difference to roll-ons, the bike really darts forward now.

All in all I'm very happy with with the Power Commander III USB and I'll be getting them for every bike I can in the future.

PS. If you are looking to keep your costs down, don't be afraid to pick up a used one and simply flash it to the right config. You just need to make sure you get the right series with the right connectors. I'm running a PCIII which was initially fitted to a 2006 VTEC VFR on my 99 with no problems, $150 off ebay.
