I am hoping one of the computer genius's on the board will know how to answer this question. I wanted to use my new lap top that only has USB to send data maps to a PC II. I ordered this cable USB to RS232 /DB 9 Cable - Meritline.com and I hoping that the computer will recognize the PC II. Has anyone else tried this will success or will I have to obtain an ancient laptop with a 9 pin male serial port?

I use a USB to send data to my PCIII but I suppose it is supposed to work this way. I would imagine that the PCII should be the same but I'm not a computer wizard.

So this is a bump for a bloody good question!!

you know my power commander is the old one also and I thought I used something similar, but I can't remember for sure cause I haven't used my current laptop. I used the one before this and it may have had an old serial cable. I tried to look through my desk to see the adapter I used but didn't find it. Let me know what you find out. I do remember downloading the latest software from the dynojet website and some of the features wouldn't work with my PC2...
