I found a 2002 that's supposed to have only a little over 2000 miles on it. Still hah the original tires. Obviously those are going to get replaced, however the bike is supposed to have been serviced, or at least the oil changed.

I know to replace the coolant, the oil, just to be safe and the clutch and brake fluid. What else should I look out for? I've been in enough creates too know what to look out for and I know to check the charging system as well. Any other suggestions?

I'll bring the good battery from my 5th gen.

Fluids and tyres. Personally I think it’s a crime for any bike not to be used.

I would be worrying about the seals/ rubber stuff.

That's what I'm thinking too. I bought a 2005 that had 6,000ish miles on it, and there weren't any issues, but it had been ridden some.

Make sure it does not feel traumatized by this long term neglect.
It may have the Stockholm syndrome and other issues. :drink:

Err, hopefully it's been garaged and not sun baked all this time.
It has no feelings. Inspect the rubber bits. They should not have a hard on.

If I get it, I'll be sure to give it all kinds of love. It has a Rems exhaust on it. i need to find out how tall the previous rider is, as the forks are well up in the triples. If it has a different triangle in the rear, I'll have to trade with someone looking for a lowered one. The bike's been garaged. I'll have to give it new gas and check the rubber bits.

Wow that’s out of the blue—- not fixing the 5 gen?
I think I may have my stock triangles if needed

The guy totally flaked on me. Whatever. I have some ideas for my fifth gen. I think I'll stick with it for a while.
