    Hi Y'all-

Stumbled on this site while looking for info on a VFR. I'm getting back into riding after about a 4 year hiatus. Beating the bushes (ok, surfing craigslist ;)), I've found a few VFRs for sale in my price range. I hadn't really considered them before, but I'm thinking they make a bit more sense than the pure sportbikes like I used to have.

Figured I'd register up and say hi before posting up my questions in the appropriate spots.

welcome to the board dude!!! i guess the easiest way i can possibly summarize the vfr is that its always been great at most everything, but not "perfect" at anything. regardless of what year model, the vfr is generally a really neat all around bike to have, be it for daily commuting or longer weekend rides, or just blasting around twisties to blow off steam.

there are a few different VFR forums including this one, and i've found that between all the forums, youll find a lot of really cool folks, and a literal endless source of tech knowledge about these bikes.

    good luck dude!

My very first bike was a VF500F. After getting my license, I thought that I wanted a sport bike and spent the next few years on a CBR600. After that, I came back to the VFR. It's not the fastest or best handling, but it is good enough and is a great all around bike. I'll never go back. What year are you looking at? Also, welcome to the forum.
